POSITION SUMMARY:
The OU Accounting Department is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate with a positive attitude who is a team player and has strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, demonstrates immaculate attention to detail, and is proficient in Excel. Additionally, the candidate must be able to quickly learn new software programs.
In addition to core accounts payable duties, this position will provide occasional executive assistant support to the accounting department’s leadership team. This may include scheduling meetings, managing calendars, assisting with internal communications, preparing reports or presentation materials, and supporting departmental initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Process accounts payable (AP)
Manage the centralized AP inquiries inbox
Process Credit Card reports and create vendors for the credit card process as needed
Assist in audit process
Generate AP reports and pull AP data as needed
File, Verify, Administer and Manage 1099/W-9 process
Direct Accounting dept outsiders to relevant people and documents on a set schedule and ad-hoc as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of previous AP, accounting, or related experience
Proficiency with Excel, including VLookup and conditional formatting
Ability and desire to learn new systems (Core Integrator, DynamicsGP, Dynamic Budgets, Concur)
Computer, word processing, and internet proficiency
An intuitive ability to catch inaccuracies and inconsistencies, an eye for detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail oriented and organized
Enjoys engaging with numbers and people as well
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience.
Hybrid work model: 3 days in-office (Lower Manhattan), 2 days remote (subject to change based on organizational needs).
