Summary**

Job Purpose Summary

Our Global Supply Chain team is currently seeking a skilled Supply Chain Operations Lead – Process Excellence Leader to optimize our supply chain processes in the midst of dynamic growth across multiple plants and our global supply base.

The Supply Chain Operations Lead will be a results-oriented leader with ownership of the process flow for all core purchasing and supply planning processes, including NPIs and product transfers. This role involves mapping out processes, developing standard work and training materials, educating team members, and measuring progress. The individual in this position will serve as a subject matter expert on our processes, systems, and core capabilities. S/He responsibilities include scaling our supply chain by reducing overburden for team members and eliminating non-value-added activities.

An ideal candidate will have a passion for process improvement within a virtual environment, enjoy collaborating with our cross-functional team, and be adept at driving organizational change. They will collaborate with IT to refine our processes and tools, while also assisting end-users in maximizing the potential of existing tools. **

What You Will Do**

  • Supply Chain Business processes ownership

    • Drive enhancements in procurement and supply chain capabilities by serving as the owner of the supply chain workflow.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on system/application usage related to procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Process optimization

    • Facilitate value chain mapping, business process redesign, kaizen, continuous improvement, lean thinking, and cycle time reduction to simplify and optimize targeted areas.
    • Conduct real-life team surveys, perform data analyses, and document current states, identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Bring support for NPIs and product transfers. Giving direction on what activities and actions must be developed before introducing new products and kick-off product transfers.
  • Collaboration and documentation

    • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to document and visually represent business requirements.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and vendors to address cross-functional challenges and eliminate barriers within the broader supply chain.
    • Identify process automation opportunities within the supply chain and collaborate with internal IT staff to develop specifications and test scripts.
    • Utilize ERPs (Dynamics 365, Infor CSI) and existing tools to automate manual processes.
    • Develop department operating procedures, work instructions, and workflows.
  • Strategic support

    • Act as a subject matter expert for supply chain processes, conducting training sessions for users on core purchasing and supply planning processes.
    • Measure the performance of key processes and provide detailed reports to the extended supply chain team.
    • Provide performance results for key indicators to facilitate Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) revisions.

Requirements

What You Will Need (Job Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years’ experience in a relevant supply chain, industrial engineering, or operations role. Prior exposure to a manufacturing environment, business applications, or data science is preferred.
  • Fluent in English. Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate business capabilities and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Structured problem solver – has an analytical or scientific approach to finding optimal and timely solutions to day-to-day and strategic challenges including previous experience with lean or six-sigma frameworks.
  • Data savvy – demonstrated expert-level of experience and capability with MS Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, as well as Executive presence and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Experience with extracting data from ERP applications as well as developing visualization tools for summarizing extracted data.
  • Excellent Project Management skills are required.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and work well at all levels and in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated change management expertise and ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels and positively transform the organizational culture to adapt to improved processes and performance metrics.
  • Application knowledge in Dynamics 365 and Infor CSI preferred will be a big plus.
  • Candidate to share a portfolio of work that demonstrates experience in process improvement in supply chain and virtual value streams.
  • Licenses/certifications (all considered to be a plus for the role):
    • Professional certificates in data science or analytics.
    • Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing; and
    • CPSM, CPIM, and/or PMP.
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives and priorities concurrently.
  • Knowledge of control and requirements for business within a regulated industry (i.e. FDA CFR) is a plus.
