The opportunity
At Rockville, our Claims Analysts review loss notices, evaluate coverage, establish adequate reserves, and investigate and handle claims. As a Claim Analyst, you will develop claim handling strategies, including defense coordination, litigation strategy, and expense control.
We take pride in recruiting, developing, and training exceptional claim talent and are looking to add Claims Analysts to our growing team. As a Claims Analyst, you will be part of a team handling complex claims across a broad spectrum of exposures in jurisdictions throughout the country and world. You’ll be handling claims associated with commercial liability exposures including New York Labor Law, bodily injury and property damage involving construction accidents, public entities, habitational losses, and professional liability.
What you’ll do
As a Claims Analyst, you will directly handle and/or assist in monitoring new losses, including the initial review, coverage evaluation and investigation, particularly of New York Labor Law claims. This will include review and analysis of policy documents and contracts and an evaluation and analysis of risk transfer and preparation of coverage position letters. You will also be responsible for liability and damages evaluations, reserve recommendations and claim resolution.
If you like working as a team, you will have the opportunity to participate in developing claim handling strategies, as well as work with others to develop creative ideas and solutions to real time business problems and opportunities. Additionally, we are looking for someone who has the ability to deliver superior customer service to both internal and external business partners. All of our Claims Analysts must obtain and maintain a claims adjuster licenses in those states requiring licenses.
What you’ll need:
If you have 3 years’ experience in claims or a related field, experience with New York Labor law claims, are a creative problem solver, committed to delivering great customer service and great claims handling, have the ability to evaluate complex coverage and liability issues, identify exposure, and communicate clearly and concisely with management and clients and are a strong negotiator. This may be the career for you.
