Job description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Bid Writer / Manager with previous experience in the IT industry, to be a vital part of our presales and sales team. You could be based anywhere in Australia and work in a remote or hybrid fashion, but must already have the right to work in Australia.

The Role

  • Responsible for bid content & SOW content management.
  • Collate, review and augment technical content for proposals and bid submissions.
  • Create draft responses by writing new content.
  • Be responsible for final document versions (reviewing, formatting and compliance checks).
  • Create and manage base templates for response documents that form part of tenders.
  • Edit, reformat, rearrange exiting collateral to expedite and automate bid creation.
  • Content mining from previous tenders and submissions, and managing updates to existing content.
  • Use your advanced writing and editing skills to produce documents that reflect the calibre and professionalism of LAB³ as a company.
  • Be responsible for keeping the libraries used for bids and proposals up to date.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Will possess significant prior bid writing and management experience in the IT sector, ideally involving responses to enterprise customers, federal government and panel RFPs.
  • A good fundamental understanding of IT and the ability to understand complex technical terms if these are explained. To write in a way that reflects this knowledge.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word & PowerPoint, ideally also with some experience in Adobe (Acrobat, Publisher) and the skill to create/ modify images. You will be proficient in the use of these tools to edit, refine, reformat and optimise the impact of the pre-sales collateral.
  • Attention to detail, along with an excellent command of English that facilitate proofreading, editing and content improvement.
  • The ability to deal with hard deadlines that requires the ability to plan and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent communication, team-work and the ability to work under pressure
