Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Outside Sales Specialist to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing sales coverage and developing the best possible market penetration for all products and services to existing and prospective accounts in a territory covering parts of southern Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned territory with a progressive sales approach
  • Promote the full range of company products and services, including precision gaging, capital equipment, calibration, inspection, and repair services.
  • Develop and own the annual territory sales plan, collaborating with the applicable business managers and the VP of sales in the Southeast region.
  • Employ a consultative sales approach
  • Generate new sales revenue (from both new and existing accounts)
  • Maximize upselling or cross-selling opportunities in existing accounts
  • Prospect and identify opportunities in specific industries/market segments and develop relationships to convert into new business
  • Effectively manage sales pipeline and forecasting using the Company’s CRM software
  • Significant travel throughout the territory and occasional overnight stays

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in an industrial environment
  • Proven track record of meeting sales goals
  • Understanding of capital equipment, manufacturing and engineering processes
  • Some experience with precision metrology preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, and driven by targets and compensation
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
  • Ability to interact consultatively with customers, determine needs and develop appropriate solutions
  • Good computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Proficient with Customer Relationship Management software (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.)
