We are looking for a
Strategy Lead Special Patient Populations who is an integral part of the Patient Evidence, Regulatory Stakeholders and Special Patient Populations team, a dynamic and diverse group of professionals who are committed to delivering value to patients to join us in our Market Access & Affordability team, based in our Boston (Cambridge), MA offices.
About the role:
As the Strategic Lead for Special Patient Populations, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive transversal global strategies to address the unmet needs of special patient populations within UCB. Special patient populations may include but are not limited to women of childbearing age, pediatric patients, geriatric patients.
Who you’ll work with:
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to include external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, regulatory bodies, and policymakers, to advocate for the needs of special populations and foster collaborative relationships that support UCB strategic goals. You will also interact closely with cross-functional teams such as with asset teams (specifically but not limited to Regulatory and RWE stakeholders) to develop post marketing requirement strategies for special populations.
What you’ll do:
- Develop transversal strategies to address the healthcare needs of special patient populations, through identifying opportunities and risks related these populations to increase value to patients and UCB.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders and provide strategic input to embed special patient populations into assets’ strategies.
- Collaborate closely with asset teams (specifically but not limited to Regulatory and RWE stakeholders) to develop post marketing requirement strategies for special populations.
- Provide strategic input into regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies.
- Further strengthen relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, and policymakers aligned with the special population strategy.
- Ensure UCB representation at industry conferences, workshops, and meetings to promote the interests of special patient populations and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Advanced or terminal degree in life sciences, pharmacy, public health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry roles with global experience, with a track record of strategic leadership and communication.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record in focusing on any special populations would be advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of global regulatory requirements and guidelines related to special populations in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience advocating for the needs of special populations and engaging with stakeholders including healthcare providers, patients, regulators, and advocacy groups.
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $166,800 to $262,900 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
