Job description

Strategic Resources, Inc. SRI is seeking an experienced, part-time Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support our corporate security program. 

 

Overview: 

The right candidate is hands-on, a self-starter, enjoys multitasking, is flexible, and is passionate about the opportunity to work with highly motivated, skilled professionals in a government-contracting environment. The FSO will be responsible for creating a secure environment for employees, clients, and company visitors. 

  

Task and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain strict confidentiality as related to all security matters
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative duties in support of security procedures and requirements
  • Review and amend as needed security policies and procedures
  • Personnel Security - Assisting employees with initiating, maintaining and terminating personnel clearance actions
  • Process visit authorization requests for personnel for classified visits
  • Ensure cleared employees have required security clearances and that associated records are accurate
  • Initiate and maintain employee SF-86
  • Conduct regular internal security inspections
  • Lead the preparation for and support annual inspections with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA)
  • Answer employee security questions and provide guidance and direction
  • Coordinate with leadership to update and maintain security protocols
  • Provide security education, training, and awareness
  • Conduct periodic, annual, and onboarding security training for all personnel
  • Maintain and monitor the organization's insider threat program


 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Administration or related area
  • Experience with NISP, JPAS, e-QIP, and DSS

 

Security Clearance: 

  • Active Secret Clearance
