Job Summary 

Clearwater Solutions, a leading provider of water and wastewater operations and maintenance services, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic VP of Operations to oversee our operations across several states throughout the southeast. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services across multiple states. 

  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 

  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed. 

  • Ensure the effective management of personnel, including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning. 

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and that expenses are within budgetary constraints. 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. 

  • Ensure that all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations and standards. 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to teams across multiple states, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values. 

  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including employees, customers, and suppliers. 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications 

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field preferred, experience can be substituted for education. 

  • 10+ years of experience in water/ wastewater operations management is highly preferred, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing operations across multiple states or regions. 

  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater operations and maintenance services, public works, utilities project management experience, or similar experience required. 

  • - Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills. 

  • - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • - Proven ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies. 

  • - Ability to manage and motivate personnel across multiple states. 

  • - Strong financial management and budgeting skills. 

  • - Excellent knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards. 

  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs used for tracking operations and financial metrics.
