Shockwave Medical is committed to supporting Educational Institutions, Physicians and Societies by way of funding Independent Medical Education Grants.  Our Industry grant funding supports our shared mission to improve patients’ lives through a better understanding and awareness of medical education for treating and managing cardiovascular disease.
 
The Medical Education Grant Manager will join a passionate team who support healthcare providers in their journey to better understand the challenges and treatment of cardiovascular disease.  The role will support the administrative function of a global medical education grant program across both coronary and peripheral therapies reporting to the Associate Director of Medical Education.
 
Essential Job Functions
 
  • Coordinate and manage the development of a monthly Grant agenda.
  • Provide a Quarterly Global Budget Report to Grant Committee and Compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal Shockwave Medical stakeholders to develop annual educational objectives
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external colleagues, including legal, compliance, finance, accounts payable, professional education team, etc.
  • Work to develop strong relationships with third-party educational providers and professional organizations relevant to Shockwave Medical educational goals
  • Manage all incoming external grant funding requests.
  • Coordinate and Manage all Educational Grant Review Committee Meetings.
  • Work with the Website team to continuously improve and enhance the on-line grant experience.
  • Oversee the execution of educational grant agreements.
  • Prepare analyses/reports/trackers to ensure key stakeholders are updated on external funding status and activities.
  • Ensure overall compliance and Quality of Medical Education as it relates to educational grant requests
  • Provide timely responses to stakeholders and adhere to established policies and procedures
Requirements
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.   
  • 10+ years of experience in medical device and/or pharmaceutical grant management or equivalent experience.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of CME/CE, external funding best practices and outcomes assessment.
  • Understanding of medical and compliance, FDA and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OIG, AMA, ACCME, Sunshine Act, etc.)
  • Experience in Managing Vendors
  • Experience with a Grant Management Platform, i.e. Black Baud
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Remote Role based in the U.S.
  • Travel up to 30%

San Francisco Bay Area (SFBA) Market Range: $105,000 - $144,900
All Other US Locations (Outside of SFBA):
$90,000 - $126,000

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
