The Director of Identity and Access Management will be a key leader in Purdue's persistent pursuit of innovation in information security. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, you'll provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for system-wide identity and access management solutions that support Purdue's world-class research and educational mission.

In this role, you'll:

•    Lead a talented team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge identity and access management systems
•    Lead large-scale, complex projects that shape the future of Purdue's technology landscape, including our mission toward Zero Trust Architecure
•    Serve as a bridge between University leadership and the campus community, providing outreach and education on identity initiatives
•    Drive innovation and best practices regarding the core function that is Identity and Access Management

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
• At least 8 years of experience in information security (including IAM, incident response, security architecture, security engineering, security analysis, risk management)
• Proven management experience
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to lead complex projects and influence across the organization
• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
• Deep understanding of the University environment and administrative operational systems

Preferred:

• Prior experience in higher education
