Job description

In the role of an Infrastructure Cloud Specialist, you can expect to work within the IT operations team, where you will support various initiatives and projects aimed at modernizing their IT environment. The team consists of an internal infrastructure support team and an external Managed Service Provider (MSP), handling recurring tasks and improvements within the Azure environment.

Your position will be within the internal team. This role will combine hands-on activities and coordinating/overseeing the work performed by the MSP.

Working As An Infrastructure Cloud Specialist, You Will

Work on migrating on-premises applications to the cloud and enhancing infrastructure security in line with IT governance standards (e.g., implementing RBAC for databases and servers, organizing disaster recovery tests)
Implement cost management, cost optimization, and automation of Azure infrastructure (e.g., resizing virtual machines, managing workload reservations, and resource tagging)
Modernize cloud solutions and systems hosted in Azure (e.g., implementing managed database instances)
Create a CMDB for IT infrastructure

Qualifications

4-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure); familiarity with GCP or AWS is a plus
Networking knowledge is beneficial (experience with Cisco Meraki and Fortinet is a plus)
Understanding of security principles and best practices is a plus
Familiarity with ITIL practices and processes
Flexible and eager to learn, with a willingness to challenge others and be challenged constructively
Experience in multicultural environments; confident in communicating with business stakeholders in non-technical terms and proficient in English (minimum B2 level)
