The position is available in one of the following State Fund locations: Pleasanton, Fresno, Eureka, Pasadena, Glendale, Bakersfield, Salinas, Santa Ana, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Stockton, San Luis Obispo, San Jose, Redding, Vacaville, Rohnert Park, and Sacramento.
State Fund’s Project Management Office has immediate openings for a Senior Project Managers (Staff Services Manager III or II). In this role you will manage multiple complex projects, to ensure that deliverables (product, service, program solution) are met on schedule, within budget and within scope. The successful candidate will provide project leadership for project team members in a matrix environment.
A Training and Development assignment may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages a matrix project team, responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the work of multiple strategic projects.
- Sets and manages priorities according to project requirements and time constraints.
- Uses and executes various types of project management methodology (waterfall, agile, hybrid), product management, and system development lifecycles.
- Uses project management software, (e.g. MS Project, Jira, ADO).
- Analyzes and solves technical problems and issues.
- Evaluates alternatives and proposes recommendations; drives and manages to execution.
- Leverages project management fundamentals and negotiates with client level personnel and internal staff for project support.
- Understands State Fund’s business, strategic goals, and business unit functions.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5 years of documented project management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from the Project Management Institute
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or comparable agile experience, Certified Scrum Product Management (CSPO)
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- General understanding of State Fund’s business and strategic goals.

SALARY: $9,293 - $10,550 per month depending on experience
