Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Business Consulting to lead the consulting division of a software business. This key role involves driving the success of the consulting services by fostering strong client relationships, achieving business objectives, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in consulting, business development, and software project management, along with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire teams and deliver results. This can be a hybrid or remote position.  The role involves travel to clients and team meetings in Gauteng as required.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the consulting division, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, goals, and growth targets.
Drive business development efforts, securing new clients, and expanding existing client relationships.
Provide technical sales expertise, guiding clients towards optimal software solutions.
Oversee the successful assignment of software consultants, ensuring client and consultant satisfaction.
Act as a senior account manager, maintaining and nurturing high-level client relationships.
Develop and mentor a high-performing consulting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align consulting services with overall business strategy.
Regularly visit clients and team members in Johannesburg to maintain strong communication, engagement and presence.


Requirements
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven consulting background from leading firms.
  • Experience in software project management and delivery.
  • Strong track record in business development and technical sales.
  • Senior account management experience with a history of managing high-value clients.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client and team requirements.
