Music Content Publishing Specialist

What Are We Looking For

MultiplyMii is seeking a Content Publishing Manager to oversee, organize, and release content for PlayBass. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in developing new musicians while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. This position requires cross-department coordination, efficient content management, and the delivery of high-quality materials to ensure a seamless experience for PlayBass members.

This role is a 100% work from home.

In This Role, You Will

• Organize and manage content assets effectively.
• Oversee the internal release schedule using Asana.
• Communicate with different departments and coordinate with PlayBass’ Education Coordinator and the company's Publishing Manager to align content releases.
• Create and manage lesson and song publications through the Content Management System (CMS).
• Proof all lesson content and some Songs before release.
• Publish all approved content through the CMS.
• Manage corrections for both past and future content releases.
• Oversee the publishing process for new song transcriptions.
• Manage a team of freelancers responsible for song transcriptions.
• Transcribe music notation for lessons and songs.
• Check and maintain song copyright statuses.
• Monitor song budgets and track expenses.
• Tier songs.
• Assist and collaborate with other members of the Publishing Team as needed.
• Publish all content to the PlayBass Members’ Area within assigned timeframes.
• Report and resolve errors to ensure content quality.
  
  

About You

Core qualifications:

Must Haves

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and writing skills (grammar, spelling, and clarity).
• Strong understanding of music theory, specifically for the bass guitar.
• Ability to play bass guitar at an intermediate level or higher.
• Expertise in music transcription, particularly for bass guitar.
• Proficiency in CMS platforms and strong project, team, and workflow management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail for notation, layout, audio, and video quality.
• Intrinsic motivation to follow standard operating procedures and deliver high-quality, user-friendly content.
• Ability to exhibit core values: Empathy, Passion, and Grit.
  
  

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Guitar Pro software.
• Familiarity with data management and collaboration tools such as Google Docs, spreadsheets, and Google Drive.
