Position Summary:

The Manager, Clinical Services Educator is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and evaluation of education and training programs for Clinical Services staff, including nurses, social workers, dietitians, wellness coaches, and non-clinical support teams. This position ensures all clinical staff meet competency standards, fosters continuous professional development, and drives quality improvement initiatives to enhance organizational outcomes. The manager collaborates across departments to align learning strategies with business goals and provides leadership in the execution of educational projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training and education programs, including new hire orientation, ongoing professional development, and specialized competency programs for Clinical Services staff
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives through knowledge retention surveys, competency evaluations, and trend analysis
  • Identify learning gaps and create innovative, evidence-based training solutions to address organizational and staff needs
  • Oversee the development and administration of self-directed learning tools and continuing education opportunities
  • Ensure accurate documentation of training participation, competency assessments, and skill reviews in compliance with organizational policies
  • Manage onboarding and orientation programs for clinical staff, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organizational standards
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify education needs, develop strategic learning initiatives, and execute special projects
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the Clinical Services department
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with interdepartmental teams and external stakeholders to advance training objectives
  • Represent Clinical Services in committees and strategic discussions, advocating for training and development needs
  • Supervise and mentor staff involved in training and education, ensuring high performance and professional growth
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in clinical education to ensure training programs remain current and effective
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; active RN licensure. Master’s degree in nursing, Education, or a related field preferred 
  • Minimum 7 years of clinical experience as an RN with at least 3 years in nephrology or cardiac clinical practice (e.g., dialysis centers, nephrology offices, or cardiac care) or complex care management
  • 3 years of experience in adult learning, training development, or clinical education
  • 3 years proven leadership experience, including managing training teams or initiatives

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Adept at handling confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Experience developing and implementing data-driven quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborative leader with a strategic mindset and the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
