New Business Development Manager Miele Professional
Location: This is a national role based primary in the South and the Midlands. You will need to be located in this area to be considered. Please indicate your location on your application.
Miele Professional is in an exciting growth phase and the role will be pivotal in the continued success of the GB&IE group. Miele Professional cares for our commercial customers with the most reliable and sustainable solutions. Our customers are wide with varying needs, such as care homes, education establishments and laboratories, and some brand names you may have heard of like McDonalds, Premier Inn & Pets at Home to name a few.
You will be responsible for working closely with the existing sales team and marketing team in Miele Professional to help identify new opportunities and sectors in which Miele Professional can deliver customer solutions, win new profitable business and create enduring business relationships. You will do this through identifying and contacting potential new business for Miele Professional by building and maintaining an ever-growing new business database and pipeline and work with our partners for the fulfilment of orders.
You will also be responsible for providing ongoing account management to some of the accounts in the portfolio and new ones that you acquire.
The purpose and responsibilities of this role:
You will have relevant experience within a commercial sales role and a high level of emotional intelligence.
To be successful in this role you should have a clear history of delivering great results within a challenging sales environment on a national or large territory basis. Be passionate about exceeding targets and building great business relationships and bring experience of driving businesses through clearly identified business development planning. This could also include supporting or leading on bids and tenders for National Accounts.
Experience of implementing a multi-faceted promotional calendar with a capable marketing team including attendance at industry events, ensuring maximum exposure at all levels within the sector. This will include national travel and occasional attendance in Ireland.
A natural relationship builder, you will put the customer at the heart of everything you do you will exemplify ‘Immer Besser’ in the way you work and represent the brand.
This is a critical role within the Miele Professional business and you will work closely with team to achieve the growth ambitions.
You will be asked to demonstrate:
- Previous experience within commercial account sales with a focus on new business.
- Demonstrate change agility and be able to adapt to market conditions.
- Evidence of a strong working relationship with a marketing team.
- Ability to represent Miele at a senior level with customers acting as an ambassador for Miele.
- Be market focused with a strong understanding of the Miele Professional business.
- Forecasting and managing a budget.
- History of exceeding sales and margin targets.
- Great listening and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to design and discuss trade terms and compliance with partners.
- An understanding of how to flex to balance the demands of the business and the customer.
- A positive and solution focused mindset for problem solving and dispute resolution.
