Under the dynamic leadership of our Vice President of Retail Services, the Director of Local Marketing plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy marketing program.   • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive local marketing strategies that support the growth and differentiation of Good Neighbor Pharmacy offerings. Design and implement processes to capture the voice of the customer to gain insights into pharmacy marketing needs and share with Community Pharmacy Solutions to continually enhance the Good Neighbor Pharmacy program.

  • Team Leadership: Build, lead and mentor a high-performing local marketing team to foster a culture of collaboration, creativity and innovation. This ensures consistency, effectiveness and quality across the delivery all digital marketing channels, a differentiation in the marketplace and an environment to achieve individual and team goals. In addition, this role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of marketing onboarding, ensuring the successful implementation of Good Neighbor Pharmacy's digital marketing strategies across pharmacy members. They will effectively communicate the marketing vision by establishing clear objectives and championing a customer-centric culture within the team.

  • Multi-Location Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated experience in scaling marketing support for multi-location brands, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and campaigns while tailoring strategies to the unique needs of each location.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Community Pharmacy Solutions leadership, marketing operations, enterprise marketing and sales to align marketing initiatives with business objectives, identify future opportunities and solution development and enhance overall performance.

  • Market Analysis: Stay up to date with pharmacy and consumer industry trends to identify new opportunities for growth and inform strategic decision-making. Ensure Local Marketing Advisors can articulate and educate pharmacies on latest trends.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of local marketing team impact and initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly. Create reporting clearly articulate ROI and continuously identify opportunities to drive growth and differentiate our marketing offerings. Report out during quarterly internal business reviews.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with independent pharmacy owners, understanding their unique needs and challenges to provide tailored marketing solutions and identify opportunities to design new solutions.

  • Scalable Marketing Support: Develop and implement scalable marketing strategies that effectively support many-to-one customer relationships, ensuring personalized engagement while maintaining operational efficiency. Beta-test new concepts and assist with designing marketing support for larger pilots and strategic initiatives.

  • Customer Support and Performance: Ensure customers receive comprehensive training to be aware of value receive through GNP marketing. Motivate pharmacy customers to utilize recommended marketing tools and services to improve their business performance. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to Local Marketing Advisors to foster a positive and collaborative culture where the team is motivated to meet Cencora and customer objectives.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with Retail Services lead team and Corporate HR to recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new Local Marketing Advisors, ensuring they receive appropriate training and support.

  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance evaluations in alignment with Cencora policies, providing coaching and feedback on goals, achievements, and areas for improvement.

  • Representation: Serve as a representative of the Marketing and Advertising team at company and national trade shows, often delivering continuing education presentations. The Director will also be responsible for attending customer and buying group meetings, presenting on Good Neighbor Pharmacy marketing differentiation to drive value of the program.

  • Beta Testing: Identify regional opportunities to pilot new marketing concepts and offerings within the assigned market area. Collaborate with Marketing Operations team to design the national to local marketing offering.

  • Presentation Development: Collaborate with Marketing Operations to align messaging when presenting to customers. Provide the voice of the customer perspective to create presentation materials for local and regional meetings, enhancing the Good Neighbor Pharmacy value proposition.

  • Campaign Analysis: Analyze campaign results at the location level, adapting ongoing and future campaigns based on data to optimize spend and maximize performance. Continually mentor Local Marketing Advisors on how data informs marketing strategy and opportunities for pharmacies at the local level.

  • Thought Leadership: Participate in weekly strategy partner calls to identify emerging technologies and trends that can positively impact customers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Fluency in Spanish a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare or retail industry.

  • Strong understanding of local and multi-location marketing strategies and tactics, with a proven ability to drive business growth.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to drive marketing performance.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, mentoring, presentation and organizational skills.

Salary Range*

$121,000 - 186,230

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
