Job description

Overview:

FedWriters is building a team to develop and monitor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) program's performance outputs and policy support services, to include updating current policies, initiating new policies to support national, state, and local veterans’ offices, or examining federal policies affecting execution of veterans’ programs and changing policies to include latest Congressional and Executive Order decisions. As a Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) SME you will be a part of a team that is responsible for evaluating and analyzing program performance data, research and development of program policy and processes, and review and update of policy implementation in regional and field offices.

**This is a full time remote position; however the customer may ask for an occasional office visit.**

 

Responsibilities:
  • Shall have extensive experience conducting research, analyzing and interpreting legal documents,
    proposing recommended changes, writing language for consideration based on new/modified statutes, regulations, and
    applicable case law based on precedent
  • This individual would have experience synthesizing information to translate program requirements and compliance policy into directives. Writing policy and developing standard operating procedures, user manuals, slide decks, and other training documentation, to include the presentation of this information to a variety of stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Ability to undergo and successfully pass a minimum background investigation (MBI) or a background investigation (BI) conducted through the U.S. Department of Labor
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in regulatory & case study research methods

Pay Range (Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors): $ 121,049.09 - $ 131,099.09 /Yr.
