About LSM

Laudato Si’ Movement (LSM) is an international network of 900 Catholic organizations and thousands of grassroots leaders working together to care for our common home and advance climate and ecological justice. About This Position

The Asia-Pacific Programs Coordinator will support the growth and strengthening of the Laudato Si’ Movement in the region through strategic outreach, capacity building, and ensuring timely implementation and member engagement in the movement’s programs and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Movement building:

  • Coordinate regional training initiatives, including developing training concepts, recruiting resource speakers, managing training logistics, and tracking participant completion
  • Co-coordinate cross-regional training sessions, as needed
  • Lead outreach and recruitment efforts for new Laudato Si’ Animators and Member Organizations to grow and strengthen the movement
  • Help identify animators with the potential to progress in the leadership pathway and support their development by supporting the development of a regional infrastructure that facilitates the leadership pathways in the region
  • Regularly contribute engaging stories and updates for the regional newsletter


Reporting:

  • Assist in monitoring the progress of strategic plan implementation for Asia Pacific
  • Complete monthly and relevant grant reports on time


Campaign and Program Implementation

  • Execute assigned projects, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives and timelines
  • Flag opportunities, identify challenges proactively, and propose solutions to ensure targets are achieved
  • Gather data and prepare a completion report on completed activities, in line with the overall Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning framework


Regional Events Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the regional team to plan and execute events. Oversee logistics and communications to ensure smooth delivery and effective participant engagement.


Skills and Characteristics

Essential

  • Endorses and embodies LSM values and the Laudato Si’ paradigm in behavior and words; comfortable supporting and working in a faith-based environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Studies, Communications, Journalism, Social Work, Theology, Religious Education, or any other related field
  • 2 years of experience in community organizing with a proven track record of driving action at scale.
  • Previous experience in catholic organizations.
  • Experience in delivering in-person and online training.
  • Ability to support simultaneous campaigns


Desirable

  • Experience in working in multi-cultural environment
  • Experience in implementing campaigns related to environment/ecology


Languages

  • Fluent in English and preferred to speak any Asian language


Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Open to countries in Asia with a preference for the Philippines and India.

Type: Full-time position

Start Date: February 2025
