Job description



We have created a new position and are looking for a new Director of Marketing for our Materials and Outdoor Surfacing business units.  You will develop and execute marketing strategies to drive growth, increase brand awareness, and meet the revenue goals.  This role will lead marketing campaigns, product launches, customer acquisition, and retention efforts.  You will work closely with product development, sales, and corporate marketing teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals, ensuring that all activities drive measurable results.

Location: 100% remote

Director of Marketing Salary Range: $127,000 - $162,000, depending on experience

 

Core Contributions:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership:
    • Develop and implement different and comprehensive marketing strategies for our Materials and Outdoor Surfacing businesses, aligning with overall Ecore objectives.  These include:
      • Materials Business Unit made up of Premier Materials, 360 Tire Group, and Ameritread.
      • Outdoor Surfacing Unit made up of SpectraTurf, Surface America, DuraPlay, and A-Turf.
    • Lead marketing efforts for product and service launches, ensuring successful market positioning, messaging, and adoption.
    • Collaborate with the product, sales, and leadership teams to drive go-to-market strategies and demand generation initiatives.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, events, social, etc.) to generate leads and drive customer engagement.
    • Utilize data-driven marketing tactics to analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate with internal and external creative teams to develop effective marketing materials.
  • Brand Development and Positioning:
    • Strengthen the brand identity of the Materials and Outdoor Surfacing businesses and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
    • Ensure the brand positioning resonates with target audiences and differentiates the business from competitors.
    • Manage brand guidelines and ensure adherence across the business unit.
  • Market Research and Customer Insights:
    • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Use customer insights to inform product development, marketing messaging, and campaign strategies.
    • Develop buyer personas and customer segmentation strategies for more targeted marketing efforts.
  • Digital and Content Marketing:
    • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media, and online advertising, to drive traffic and conversions.
    • Oversee content development strategies, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and other marketing collateral, that align with business objectives and customer needs.
    • Manage website content and ensure a seamless user experience for visitors.
  • Lead Generation and Nurturing:
    • Drive demand generation and lead nurturing strategies through email marketing, webinars, paid media, and other channels.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to align on lead qualification, handoff, and sales enablement initiatives.
    • Track and report on lead conversion rates and marketing ROI.
  • Budget Management and ROI Tracking:
    • Manage the marketing budget for Materials and Outdoor Surfacing and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
    • Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, reporting on key KPIs and marketing ROI.
    • Identify areas for cost optimization and process improvements within the marketing function.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Essential Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role focused on a specific business line or product category
  • Proven track record of driving marketing strategies that support revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Experience in B2B marketing environments
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, techniques, and platforms (SEO/SEM, email marketing, marketing automation, etc.)
