  • Serve as a key resource for understanding technical and functional concepts, supporting Product Managers, and documenting NCDOT use cases related to AWP modules or Business Use Cases requiring analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure quality governance for reports, Data Analytics tools, and associated visualizations.
  • Coordinate the validation and rollout of functional components while maintaining communication with business customers and technical teams.
  • Engage with NCDOT leadership to gather insights, demonstrate system capabilities, and provide ongoing support.
  • Develop Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and UX modifications, leveraging XML and SQL for reporting and analytics.

Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of application development and architectural concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with AASHTOWare Project modules, particularly in Preconstruction, CRL, and Data Analytics.
  • Proficiency in building complex analytics queries and dashboards, along with business analysis capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile development conventions such as SCRUM and general Agile lifecycle processes in a state-level DOT context.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address technical challenges and support integration with legacy applications (e.g., SAP/SharePoint).

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise with AASHTOWare Project modules and transportation processes.
  • Significant experience in a technical specialist or SME role, particularly in application development and data analytics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines is preferred.

Career Growth Opportunities

This position offers robust opportunities for professional development through hands-on experience in technical research, troubleshooting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Engaging directly with NCDOT leaders and participating in project management initiatives will enhance your skills in business analysis and agile development methodologies.
