About The Role

As a GP Researcher/Senior GP Researcher, you will report to the Senior Research Unit Academic Advisor and the ReCEnT Chief Investigator, playing a key role in overseeing research related to the Registrar Clinical Encounters in Training (ReCEnT) project. Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior research staff, providing clinical coding expertise, and managing sub-projects to expand the scope of ReCEnT within RACGP.

As our GP Researcher, you'll also:

  • Contributing to ReCEnT project planning and conducting study-related activities.
  • Liaising with Medical Educators and participants in sub-regions, including travel.
  • Providing expert advice on clinical coding using ICPC-2Plus and ATC classifications.
  • Leading sub-projects, from research question development to paper writing and analysis.


Skills & Experience

  • Medical degree with FRACGP qualification.
  • Tertiary qualifications in research, or progressing towards a Master’s or doctoral degree
  • Extensive research experience and knowledge of research methodologies.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
