Position Summary

The Partner Hiring Assistant supports the implementation of the lateral partner hiring strategy as directed by firm leadership. This individual will assist with all aspects of the partner hiring process, ensuring efficiency and positive experience for candidates and stakeholders.

As an integral member of the Firm Development Department, the Partner Hiring Assistant collaborates with teams such as Conflicts, Accounting, Talent, and Business Development to provide administrative and operational support for all lateral partner hiring and onboarding activities. This role is remote with in-office attendance required for specific projects.

Duties And Responsibilities

Partner Hiring Support


  • Coordinate and schedule interviews (in-office and virtual) for lateral partner candidates.
  • Maintain and update the lateral partner candidate pipeline in applicant tracking systems (e.g., viDesktop, Smartsheet, etc).
  • Assist in the background check and reference verification process.
  • Act as another point of contact for search firms and maintain records of preferred search firms and agreements in place.
  • Draft professional correspondence, including interview requests, candidate evaluations, relevant documents, and communications with search firms.
  • Keep detailed historical records of hires, rejections, and declines in applicant tracking systems.
  • Support the collection and reporting of partner hiring metrics and trends.
  • Help facilitate onboarding processes with the Lateral Partner Integration Administrative Team (LPAT).


Administrative Coordination


  • Process invoices related to placements and background checks in collaboration with accounting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files for all partner hiring activities.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives to enhance recruitment strategies and operational efficiency.


Collaboration & Process Improvement


  • Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Conflicts, Accounting, Talent, and Business Development) to ensure seamless execution of hiring initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improving administrative processes and workflows.


Basic Qualifications


  • HS diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2 + years of administrative support experience required, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • This role is fully remote and must reside in a commutable distance to the local applicable office.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and applicant tracking systems (e.g., viDesktop).

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

SALARY

New York based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $ 60,000-$72,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
