IGS is currently recruiting a remote HR Generalist to support day-to-day operations. 


As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our Human Resources department. If you are an independent thinker with a passion for HR, and a strong understanding of HR processes, we encourage you to apply!


Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access IGS systems and therein use approved IGS provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite meetings as requested.


Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Responsible for supporting the efforts of the Human Resources department in the day-to-day operations
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, employment law and other changes related to HR and compliance 
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and other training assessments
  • Supports all aspects of onboarding a new hire to include initiating onboarding through our HRIS system, new hire orientation,     auditing onboarding forms, and managing new hires through the hiring process
  • Work with the HR Manager and Leadership in preparing a variety of written documents needed to communicate HR policies and      procedures to staff 
  • Assist and support the HR Manager and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues, handling sensitive information, warnings, PIP process and terminations  
  • Support offboarding efforts to include leading exit interviews, preparation of exit documentation, tracking of return of company and customer equipment, ensuring exit process is compliant
  • Create, audit and maintain new hire and personnel files per company procedures
  • Work with cross-functional teams (PMO, BD, Accounting and Operations, clients) as needed to support HR efforts
  • Maintain accurate staff records, audit HR files across different platforms
  • Generate data reports as necessary for HR compliance, company metrics or other projects as needed
  • Point of contact for employees, providing guidance, advice and assistance with matters related to HR including personnel issues, policies, administrative regulations, employee rights and services
  • Support PM’s and supervisors with the management of the performance review process per company policy 
  • Support open enrollment initiates, including ensuring new hires receive enrollment links and are registered and provide follow-up regarding any benefits information. 
  • Support the administration of 401k plan for staff
  • Support Ad Hoc Projects as requested 
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience 
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices 
  • Experience in Employee Relations  
  • Strong work ethic, intense drive and initiative for quality and customer service
  • Understanding of employment benefits including 401k
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; proficient with HRIS systems 
  • Experience using SharePoint as a document library 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently, proactive and results driven 
  • Detailed oriented and possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize 
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP desirable
  • Prior experience with Paylocity HRIS 
  • Prior experience supporting GovCon 
  • Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment
