About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer - AEM Specialist, you’ll drive technical excellence in AEM implementations, architect scalable solutions, and build high-performance digital experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced AEM technologies while guiding and mentoring teams to deliver top-tier solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Solution Architecture & Development
  • Design and architect enterprise-grade AEM solutions that meet scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Develop reusable AEM components, templates, and workflows tailored to business needs.
  • Integrate AEM with enterprise systems, third-party APIs, and other digital platforms.
  • Implement best practices for AEM Forms, Sites, and modular code design.
  • Lead the development of headless CMS architectures and hybrid solutions using AEM.

  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Provide technical leadership to teams, mentoring junior and mid-level developers on AEM best practices.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and quality guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews and architectural assessments to ensure technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other engineering leads to define clear technical strategies.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Platform Optimization & Maintenance
  • Lead efforts in optimizing AEM performance, security, and scalability.
  • Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines in Adobe Cloud Manager or similar environments.
  • Manage troubleshooting and proactive resolution of production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular assessments to improve system reliability and user experience.

  • Qualifications & Skills
  • 7+ years of professional experience in AEM development with a focus on enterprise implementations.
  • Strong expertise in AEM architecture, including Sling, OSGi, JCR, Dispatcher, and Adobe I/O Events.
  • Proficiency in Java (Java 11+) and advanced AEM development practices.
  • Experience with AEM 6.5 or higher, including Forms and Sites.
  • Knowledge of AEM APIs and headless CMS architectures.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and optimizing AEM caching mechanisms.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Adobe Experience Cloud).
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTL, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.

  • Nice to have
  • Adobe AEM Developer or Architect certification (Sites or Forms).
  • Experience with AEM Core Components and Adobe I/O Runtime.
  • Strong understanding of digital asset management systems and SEO best practices.
