Job Summary
 

Reporting to the Licensing and Credentialing Manager, the Licensing and Credentialing Specialist will perform work and activities related to ensuring our providers and supporting clinical staff are qualified, licensed, and certified as required by various local, state, and federal regulations. Working with the Medical Group, internal Professional Standards Board, and various key stakeholders, the Licensing and Credentialing Specialist will execute on best practice processes and procedures that support credentialing and re-credentialing of providers in a variety of fields and states.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes on the licensing, credentialing, and privileging functions for Crossover Health.

  • Participates in activities ensuring compliance with license and credential-related regulations.

  • Partners with the internal Professional Standards Board to ensure providers meet the necessary requirements to be privileged with the organization.

  • Ensures practices are current with credentialing standards and industry trends. Makes recommendations for and implements changes in policies and procedures. 

  • Provides consultation to key stakeholders regarding local, state, and federal licensing requirements in new and existing markets.

  • Maintains the credentialing database, ensuring accuracy of data and reporting.

  • Ensures all candidates and active employees have the necessary credentials by conducting primary source verifications.

  • Verifies the legitimacy of information with licensing agencies, certification boards, reference checks, and other national data banks.

  • Partners with key stakeholders to ensure new hires are on-boarded timely and accurately.

  • Tracks medical license applications with appropriate agencies.

  • Conducts ongoing auditing and reporting on the status of licenses and training, ensuring that necessary licenses remain active and do not expire.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications 

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution

  • 2+ years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of credentialing and privileging procedures and standards

  • Experience using a credentialing database

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals across the organization

  • Ability to develop and deliver reports and presentations across various levels of management

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

  • Ability to research requirements with various agencies and boards and present requirements in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood

  • Knowledge of the GSuite platform (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc…) and Apple products

  • Ability to self-prioritize and manage multiple, sometimes competing, tasks simultaneously


 

Physical Job Requirements

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

The base pay range for this position is $79,896.00 to $90,317 per year. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and 401K.
