The Role:
Medcan is recruiting for a full-time Nurse Consultant, RN to join our growing high-performance nursing team for a full time fixed-term position. We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude who can work independently and as part of a team. The nurse acts as the main point of contact for our patients providing guidance, education and support to our client population.
The Accountabilities:
- Providing Annual Health Assessment patients with education and guidance regarding healthy lifestyle, navigation of the health care system, and support and counseling regarding new diagnoses.
- Coordinate follow up care for clients including scheduling appointments and providing follow up care such as results and prescription renewals.
- Communication and explanation of results from Annual Health Assessment appointments
- Triage prospective client calls
The Requirements:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR-Healthcare certificate
- 1-5 years nursing experience
- Experience with managing people an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great organization and time management skills
- Intermediate level in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
This role is a full-time, fixed-term position until March 2026 between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday within a primarily remote role, with occasional requirements to come into the office as necessary. There is rotational on-call coverage required in this role. Please note that there may be hybrid on-site requirements.
