Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Site leader in providing timely patient access 
  • Drives patient satisfaction
  • Supports the establishment and optimization of the day-to-day operations of the site with consistency between departments and assures the smooth flow of the day. The internal leads are responsible for delivering services and work directly with the Practice Manager.
  • Provides supervision of the Assistant Practice Manager and Front Desk Coordinator at the site and other operations staff when needed.
  • Functions as the site Manager On Duty (MOD), able to complete all the tasks of MOD, train new managers to the role of MOD and support assignments of monthly coverage calendar for MOD.
  • Maintains a visible physical presence in the public and clinical areas during open hours and assures training and coordination of coverage by other managers who act as MOD.
  • Responsible for timely initiation and thorough completion of all patient complaints and incident reports for the site including handling of patient complaints, incident reports and de-escalation. Assures that remediation measures, when necessary, have been completed.
  • Assures smooth daily opening and closing of the site with considerations for holidays, site events, weather, sick calls, etc.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of New York State Article 28 regulations and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) standards.
  • Holds staff accountable for compassionate and professional interactions with patients, including providing support and feedback where needed to assure the day runs well.
  • Becomes a super-user of the EHR and practice management software.
  • Oversees general upkeep of all areas around the organization and personal safety of staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
  • FQHC or health experience required
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with patients, personnel, and support agencies
  • Ability to relate to patients of all ages and life situations in a supportive and constructive, as well as professional, manner
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and take initiative
  • Results-oriented; creative and persistent in accomplishing tasks
  • Highly responsive, timely, accurate and thorough in follow-up and follow-through
  • Excellent in managing shifting priorities and timelines
  • Outstanding project and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to diplomatically and effectively manage interactions with individuals at all levels and job functions, both inside and outside the organization

Compensation: 

$79,000 - $83,000 annual salary (based on a full-time, 40 hour work week)

Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components
