As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of underwriting processes while supporting a collaborative and results-driven team. Underwriting Assistant Requirements

  • 1.5-2+ years of data entry experience
  • Background in insurance or mortgage industries in any capacity
  • Experience with various technology systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms
  • Familiarity with insurance rating tools preferred
  • Detail-oriented, highly accountable, and capable of working independently in a remote setting

Underwriting Assistant Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize data for underwriting reviews and input into CRM systems
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding documentation, ensuring timely submissions
  • Monitor and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and KPI goals
  • Transcribe insurance applications and maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Generate proposals, policy changes, and manage policy endorsements, renewals, and amendments
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team and raise flags when additional support is needed
  • Learn and utilize insurance rating tools and company workflows through comprehensive training
