Job description

What you’ll do as an Inside Sales Representative:

As a trusted Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing superior customer experiences, nurturing a portfolio of up to 150 of TGE’s small to medium sized business customers, helping to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities, as well as customer retention. You’ll achieve your ‘share of wallet’ optimsation targets by consistently engaging and consulting with your customers via regular communications.

In terms of responsibilities, this is a hybrid role, fifty per cent of your role will involve account management, the other fifty percent will be new business sales focused.

Typical duties & responsibilities will also include (but not limited to):

  • Using strategic market research and insights to identify and connect with new customers
  • Further developing and maintaining meaningful connections with customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Handling trading terms, credit requests, and customer remediation with professionalism and efficiency

What are we ideally looking for in an Inside Sales Representative? We will consider two types of applicants:

  • 1-2 years experience within a sales or an account management position, ideally within a service solution
  • Or maybe you have gained significant experience within the logistics/transportation sectors, and you feel confident you have transferrable skills to move into more of an account management/sales role
  • Solution selling/negotiation/presentations experience
  • You have a great mix of ‘hunter’ and ‘farmer’ skillsets
  • Key personality traits & characteristics would include positivity, tenacity, resilience, continuous improvement mindset, and results focused
  • You take pride in your work, you’re driven/energetic, and dedicated
  • PowerPoint & Excel skills (intermediate level required)

Extra points for the following (not essential though):

  • Experience within the logistics, transportation, supply chain, and/or heavy industries
  • Salesforce experience
  • Power BI expertise

This role is based from our offices at Karawatha (ample parking available).
