About the Role

The US Payroll and HR Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive payroll support from April through September and general HR administrative support and project coordination from October through March. You will play a key role in processing payroll, supporting onboarding for over 2,000 seasonal summer staff, and assisting with job postings and hiring logistics. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring smooth payroll and HR operations.

What you’ll do

Payroll Support

  • Preparing, reviewing, and processing bi-weekly payroll for seasonal and full-time staff.

  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Responding to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Audit and verify timekeeping data and review payroll reports for accuracy each payroll period.

  • Assisting with year-end payroll processes, including reporting and audits.

HR Administrative Support

  • Supporting the launch and management of job postings for summer hiring, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

  • Coordinating onboarding processes for seasonal staff, including documentation and system updates.

  • Managing HR records and maintaining data integrity within the HRIS.

  • Assisting in organizing and executing HR projects, such as training initiatives and compliance audits.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the HR team to improve payroll and HR processes.

  • Providing administrative support for the HR department, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.

  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.
