Senior Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Senior Accounting Analyst with strong Excel skills to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging Power Query to streamline financial processes and generate actionable insights. USA or Canada experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliation reports for management review.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and complete financial records.
• Utilize Power Query to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our financial systems.
• Develop and maintain automated financial reports using Power Query, providing accurate and timely information to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas where Power Query can further optimize and automate financial workflows.
• Prepare journal entries and other accounting documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed extensive databases.
• Solid expertise in Excel; knowledge of Power Query is a MUST.
• Experience working with US or Canadian accounting standards and regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
