CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a
Summer 2025 Actuarial Pricing Intern. This opportunity will be a fully remote, 12-week, paid internship program that provides students with the opportunity to gain corporate experience, get a first-hand look at the day-to-day operations of a Super Regional Insurance Company, and prepare students with the experience needed to have a rewarding career at CopperPoint.
The Actuarial Pricing department is looking for students seeking meaningful work experience as they tackle complex challenges unique to the insurance industry. This internship role aims to provide an integrative program that allows students to make meaningful contributions to the department and to walk away with a meaningful experience.
Through various research projects, you will support the Actuarial Pricing teams by:
- Analyzing trends in Key Performance Indicators such as claim frequency and hit ratios
- Assessing industrywide results and their application to our portfolio
- Identifying drivers of differences in underlying loss experience that lead to enhanced pricing sophistication
- Proposing adjustments to underwriter pricing tools as a result of your findings
As our ideal candidate, you are:
- A current college undergraduate pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software.
- Strong analytical skills with a comfortable in data and reviewing sensitive information.
- Good Interpersonal skills to quickly develop trust, credibility, and respect from all levels of staff.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry post-graduation.

Travel Commitment: CopperPoint is thrilled to host all interns at our Phoenix, AZ office this June! This exciting, company-sponsored visit will provide a unique opportunity to connect with our team, experience our vibrant workplace culture, and build lasting relationships.
Salary Range: $20 per hour
Time Commitment: 30 hours per week
Benefits: The intern will accrue 0.0692 of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour. The intern will be eligible to participate in CopperPoint’s matching 401(k) plan.
