The Role
We're seeking an experienced SDET to join our team.
At Air, we’re building tools that empower creative teams to collaborate more effectively. As an experienced SDET, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our platform by designing, building and maintaining robust automated testing systems.
You’ll be joining an excellent and enthusiastic team of Typescript engineers. You will work closely with our CTO and senior engineering team to execute on our technical roadmap. In this role, you will focus on driving the test automation strategy and framework to support engineers with delivering quality across all aspect of Air
We work almost entirely in Typescript. Our web app is built in React, desktop app in Electron, and backend in Node running on AWS. You will be Air's first SDET, and we're excited to have you because you will bring your proven experience building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks. You will advocate and drive adoption among teams to use more robust solutions to help improve velocity while maintaining quality. You believe in shifting QA to the left but don't hesitate to write tests yourself to fill in coverage gaps to keep the momentum moving forward.

Requirements
- 5+ years working on production applications with real-world users
- 3+ years working in an SDET role
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expertise in developing and executing automated test suites using tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) and techniques.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, or k6).
- Proficiency in unit, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with optimizing/configuring CI/CD pipelines to support the test automation strategy
- Motivation to influence our engineering org to level-up the reliability and performance of our product

If based in the US, the compensation range for this role is USD $146,000 to $240,000.
If based in Canada, the compensation range for this role is CAD $160,000 to $265,000.
