Customer Service Representative/Office Assistant

Ephrata, PA


  • Full-time opportunity with great benefits.
  • Hybrid Remote Position – Option to work from home 2-3 days per week after the training period
  • Serve as our customers' first point of contact coming into our office and the friendly voice on the phone
  • Learn to answer general questions about propane
  • Answer phones and check voicemail
  • Prepare delivery tickets
  • Accept and process customer payments via phone, in person, or mail
  • Communicate with other team members to meet our customers' needs
  • Join our office team rotation working Saturday mornings from October 1 until April 15, 8 am to noon, during our busy season. The weekday schedule is M-F, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Assist with cleaning office areas

Sweetwater Propane, Inc. seeks a full-time Customer Service Representative/Office Assistant to join our team. Our Ephrata, PA, office will be moving to our new location in Denver, PA, in the near future. We are a young, faith-based company that has been steadily growing. We strive to meet the needs of our customers with our team of professionals who utilize our knowledge, abilities, and resources to enrich the lives of our customers, community, and each other. Our Customer Service Representative/Office Assistant is the "Face" of our company and will be connecting with customers in person and over the phone.


What we are looking for in our Customer Service Representative/Office Assistant:

  • Experienced: Customer service and office experience are required.
  • Skilled: Strong typing skills. Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Essential office administrative skills.
  • Accurate: Able to correctly enter data and process payments. Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Friendly: Enjoys interacting with and serving others, can answer questions, and build customer loyalty.
  • Great Communicator: Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Versatile: Willing to take on various tasks to support the company's growth.
  • Flexible: We have a rotation schedule for working Saturday mornings from October through April. This position would be 40+ hours during the fall, winter, and early spring.
