Job description

Your mission
As an LCA Specialist in our product design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the functionality and requirements of our sustainability software. Leveraging your expertise in lifecycle assessment and regulatory frameworks like EPD and ESPR, you will bridge the gap between technical LCA concepts and actionable software specifications. Your work will ensure that our platform meets the needs of industry professionals while maintaining compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the subject matter expert on lifecycle assessments, environmental regulations (e.g., EPD, ESPR), and industry standards.
  • Translate LCA methodologies and regulatory provisions into detailed software requirements and specifications.
  • Develop clear and concise functional specifications that align with LCA workflows, calculation rules, and data processes.
  • Collaborate with product managers, consultants, and developers to ensure accurate and effective implementation of LCA-related features, including tools and guidance for customer-specific software implementation projects. 
  • Analyze user needs and industry trends to define product requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and LCA experts, to refine product concepts and priorities.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Stay informed about advancements in LCA tools, datasets, and digital solutions to enhance the platform.
  • Support the development team by reviewing and validating features against specifications.
Your profile
  • Excellent Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodologies, tools, and data sources.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations such as Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
  • Experience in the chemical or process industries is highly desirable.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles and processes to facilitate collaboration with developers.
  • Familiarity with data management and visualization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for sustainability.
