Product Manager, Payments – Remote (US)

We are looking for a Product Manager to focus on our EverCommerce Payment Solutions group.

EverCommerce Payment Solutions and our industry-leading payment gateway, PaySimple, provide payment solutions for over 20,000 SMBs. Our APIs and SaaS products offer payment acceptance, billing automation, client management, e-commerce, mobile, and point-of-sale solutions tailored to the needs of service-based businesses.

You have years of experience working with integrated payment solutions, analyzing customer needs, and working across multiple lines of business. You take an API-first approach to solving problems and can articulate partner and developer needs into endpoints, workflows, and documentation. You will work cross-functionally to ensure our solutions are easy to use, intuitive, and meet the needs of our developers, partners, and their customers. You value building trust and rapport with the people you work with and recognize its effect on your success.

In addition to the primary commercial product role defined above, you have expert experience breaking down high-level initiatives and solution requirements into detailed features for execution by delivery teams. You are naturally curious and have a passion for solving real customer problems. In addition to payments experience, you have a proven track record of delivering API and SaaS solutions to the market. You utilize all data available to make informed and calculated decisions. You have an in-depth industry knowledge of payments-as-a-service and experience delivering solutions to simplify the lives of small and medium businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the business opportunities and challenges our customers experience daily. Align the Payments gateway and products to meet these opportunities and solve these challenges.
  • Lead product discussions, partnering closely with leaders across the business to ensure that customer voices are heard and needs are met.
  • Create, refine, and execute the product roadmap to increase payment activation, enablement, growth, and retention.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate the product requirements, vision, and priorities to engineers and stakeholders.
  • Use MVPs, prototypes, and experiments to learn rapidly and make data-informed decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure the Product and Engineering teams are working as a cohesive unit focused on building and iterating on customer-centric products
  • Leverage product analytics and customer research to frame and prioritize initiatives.
  • Identify OKRs to track and measure with a focus on iteration and constant improvement.
  • Serve as a product lead for multiple agile engineering teams and interact with them daily to create solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Regularly groom the product backlog, ensuring all user stories are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Partner with product marketing to develop campaigns to drive product adoption and utilization of new and existing features.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of delivery or related experience in high-growth SaaS or Fintech environments.
  • Bias for action and a strong test & iterate approach focused on driving usage and revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of payment processing and the payments industry.
  • Product experience serving web SaaS and mobile app products.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Able to generate quantitative insights by leveraging analytics tools and working closely with the product analytics team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable in high-accountability, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous work situations and thrive in change.
  • Strong initiative, keen attention to detail, and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Deep knowledge of and experience applying product management best practices.

Additional desirable skills:

  • Experience building products in the home improvement/home services industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Stripe into existing products.

Where: 
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office, or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or other office locations around North America. 
 

We are remote-friendly, but the ideal candidate is based in the Mountain time zone and can travel to the Denver offices for occasional team events.

Compensation:

The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
