Job description

Team Carney seeks a Cloud Administrator to help our Government customer modernize their IT infrastructure. The position requires collaboration with engineers and administrators to maintain and enhance enterprise cloud solutions, ensuring security and mission success. The role emphasizes the use of cutting-edge cloud platforms and offers opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic environment.

CONTINGENT - Anticipated July 2025 Start 
Hybrid/Remote position 

Responsibilities:
  • Installs, configures, manages, and upgrades operating systems in cloud environments, including cloud server configurations, patches, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide recommended use-case scenarios for utilizing tools and services specific to distinct customer sets across Cloud Services program.
  • Clearly communicate with customers and mission partners on all aspects of Cloud Services.
  • Assist with and resolve system issues, and monitor, document, and maintain approved system infrastructure configurations and network security for operability.
  • Monitor and analyze capabilities and performance of the systems, comparing, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and integrating systems into the computing environment.
  • Primary focus of this position will be the development of cloud-based solutions and capabilities that solve our customers hardest mission problems.
  • Develop IT solutions that optimize architectures and help define a migration plan for how to refactor application and architect deployment pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Open to occasional travel to Fort Meade, MD or Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg, PA for site and system access. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical area and 3+ years of experience
  • OR A High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience may be substituted for an Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4 years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570.1M relevant security certification (i.e., Security + or equivalent) required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring.
  • Proven experience of transitioning enterprise applications securely to the cloud.
  • Must have an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple government agencies 
  • Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or IT.  
  • Knowledge and experience working with federal compliance and guidance, including FISMA, RMF, Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework, DoDAF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series, FedRAMP and cloud-based security controls.
  • Knowledge of technology for implementing security controls, including access control, privileged access management, data security, network security, data loss prevention, Cloud security, vulnerability management, configuration management, privacy, and audits.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time status. Part-time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of Team Carney's total compensation package for employees. Posted Salary Range: USD $80,00.00 - USD $160,000 /Yr
