Job description

Position Purpose: The Account Manager I services, renews and increases group membership at a profitable margin; performs related work as required or assigned.

  • Functions as a health care consultant to our members.
  • Facilitates the member plan renewal and process, identifying risks to retain members
  • Answers product and/or service questions; suggest features and benefits about Ambetter products and services to retain members.
  • Responds to member’s calls within designated timeframes and perform troubleshooting procedures to determine the nature of the inquiry or issue to the satisfaction of the member; clarifies the member’s inquiry; determines the root cause of the problem, select and explains the best solution to solve the concern and expedite correction or adjustment as needed; follow us with members to ensure resolution.
  • Sells alternative, ancillary and replacement products to renewing members.
  • Follows established service protocol including recording or logging calls made to and with members.
  • Tracks, records and responds to employer group, member and provider inquiries and complaints.

**This position is a salary plus commission role. Commissions will be made from retention sales made. 75+ average calls a day is required**

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. Two years public contact experience in a professional environment

License/Certification: Current state insurance licensure required or ability to obtain within three months of employment; licensure must be maintained as a condition of continued employment

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year
