About the Role
Our team of GPS (Global Purpose Specialists) are extraordinary individuals, positioned on the front row of our agent partnerships. They’re motivation is knowing that every customer who makes a booking with G Adventures, helps us take a step towards our mission: to help travel become the greatest form of wealth redistribution the world has ever seen.

You’ll develop and maintain relationships and accounts with travel agencies, tour operators and online travel platforms in Southern Germany & Austria.
What you’ll be doing to change lives through travel:
As a key member in our Outside Sales team in Germany, you’ll experience G Adventures’ trips alongside our Travel Agent partners, to educate them about G through first-hand experience of our award-winning tours. You’ll share the virtues of community tourism, and have the privilege of introducing our agent partners to the many local communities we support through our unique business model.
How your mission is achieved:
Connect with our travel trade partners in person, over the phone, via video calls and email
Attend partner conferences and training events
Support direct marketing initiatives and consumer shows
Ask the right questions to ascertain the needs of each unique travel trade partner
Recommend and sell the right trip for the partners traveller based on their needs
Hold regular training sessions to ensure your travel trade partners are up to date with G Adventures product
Present G Adventures product to groups of agents and/or clients from 4 to 100+
Organise and stick to a strategic call plan, ensuring travel trade partners are visited as frequently as they require
Ensure accuracy in recording all sales visits in Salesforce
Maintain superior knowledge of all G Adventures product and changes
Be an integral part of G Adventures amazing company culture and live by the G Adventures Core values.
Be the first point of contact for any of your trade partners Sales & Marketing inquiries
Creating succinct marketing plans with partners to drive enquires and conversion
Ensuring prominence of G Adventures product on our travel trade partners social, website and digital platforms
What you'll need
On the road travel sales experience essential
A love of sales and travel
Demonstrated strategic business planning, analysing, and reporting skills
Strong negotiation skills
Advanced skills in interpersonal relationship management
Effective communication skills in german and english, both verbal and written
Ability to work irregular hours, if required (eg. early starts to train travel trade partners before they open or evenings, few weekends a year in case of conferences and events)
Valid driver license
Availability to stay overnight if required (accommodation cost would be covered by G Adventures)
Domestic and International travel are involved with this role
Desired skills
Ability to understand and demonstrate professional sales presentation techniques
Problem solving/complaint resolution skills with a focus on the customer experience
Flexible and energetic, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to navigate and use a variety of computer systems confidently with speed and efficiency
Understanding of, and identification with, G Adventures’ Core Value
Experience with Salesforce, Slack, Google products is an asset
This role is based in Germany, ideally in the Zip code region 79 or 78 or surrounding areas with extensive travel in the region required. While this is a remote role, the successful applicant can expect a comprehensive, step-by-step onboarding in their first weeks.
