Responsibilities:
General bookkeeping
Reconciling daily transactions using Xero software
Accounts Payables management
Accounts Receivables management, including invoicing and follow-up on payments, or setting up vendors on Direct Debit (Candidate must have good spoken English and be willing to make calls to finance departments in the UK for late payments)
Reviewing employee receipts and entering them as book entries into Xero accounting
Maintaining accurate payroll journals in Xero
Assisting with accessing and understanding payroll software to ensure accurate salary calculations, with oversight from management
Creating and managing Profit and Loss (P&L) financial forecasts and budgets for investors
Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Updating KPIs based on internally collected data and reporting back to investors
Comfortably navigating dashboards and listening to customer recordings to complete financial KPI data inputs
Collaborating with Accounting Director/Employer (a PwC qualified chartered accountant) and external accountants on VAT return processes
Completing government or other formal forms related to the company
Working with management on the R&D tax claims process
Comfortable building forward cashflow modelling inside spreadsheets
