Overview:
Workers’ Compensation Director, Product Management owns the Workers’ Compensation Line of Business in assigned region. Director, Product Management develops, implements, executes and monitors state strategies, Growth and Profitability management and key performance indicators in alignment with countrywide goals and initiatives. The Director will interact with disciplines (data science, product, underwriting, operations, actuarial, etc.) within AmTrust to help carry this forward.
Responsibilities:· Develop, implement and execute line of business product and pricing strategy in designated states
· Responsible for Growth and Profitability management in assigned region
· Collaborate with key stakeholders (Regional Sales, Underwriting, Actuarial, Reserving) and functional areas to support profitable growth
· Monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators to stakeholders and senior management
· Communicate and coordinate with regional sales and underwriting leaders to maintain in-depth knowledge of changing market conditions
· Deep understanding of key performance indicators and line of business expertise to positively influence KPIs
· Ad-hoc analysis in support of regional personnel
· Develop a long-term strategic roadmap and translate strategy into action.
· Create key KPIs to optimize profit, growth, and to prevent adverse selection.
· Improve confidence in AmTrust’s WC line of business, both with executive and field personnel.
· Tracking competitor information and stay abreast of industry insights in the WC realm.
· Provide meaningful data to the regions that assists them in meeting production goals, and lead sessions to help the region meet objectives.
· Actively work with other lines of business to gain alignment on approach and opportunities.
· Engage with distribution, underwriting and sales to find opportunities to drive profitable growth
· Assist with preparation of the presentations for executive meetings; active participation as needed.
· Targeted projects as assigned.
· Keeps current with market trends and demands.
· Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Required:
· 5+ years experience in workers compensation related field, with focus on Underwriting/Product Management/Actuarial or Data Science.
· Communication skills are paramount, both written, oral and presentations
· Reporting and analysis skills (SQL, PowerBI, ANA) both as producer and consumer
· Working knowledge of workers compensation system
