Who We’re Looking For (Overview)
Our team needs a Canadian citizen (contractual requirement) with strong Linux + Storage operations and administration skills. Our ideal candidates will have a deep background in enterprise Linux and storage, and enjoy working in a consulting role within a fast-paced IT operational environment. This role is customer-facing and is responsible for operations, administration and automation in a large-scale customer environment. Our ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of dealing with new technologies, desire lots of customer interaction and be comfortable working independently or as part of a larger team.
What You Need to Succeed (Required)
Technical
- Must be a Canadian citizen.
- Deep hands-on technical experience in Linux systems administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Deep hands-on technical experience in enterprise storage systems management and operations (S3, NAS, NFS, SAN, iSCSI, Clustered File Systems such as Hadoop or MapR, etc.).
- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols within Linux systems, including IP addressing, routing, firewalls, and DNS configuration.

Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred)
- RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator), LFCS (Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator), or CompTIA Linux+ Certification.
- Hands-on container and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher, etc.).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Hands-on experience with core cloud provider services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Java or Go).
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible and/or Hashicorp Terraform.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like (Responsibilities)
You should be comfortable performing Linux and storage administration tasks, setting up and troubleshooting automation, dealing with resource and networking requirements, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Our consultants work directly with customer technical contacts on a daily basis within production, development, and test environments.
Flexible Work Environment
This position is 100% remote. Work will be performed entirely offsite but may require dedicated equipment (supplied by customer), VPN access, and the ability to work from a home office. Candidates must be self-driven and capable of organizing, prioritizing, and managing task workload based on customer direction.

- Must be a Canadian citizen.
- Have a completely clear criminal background check and pass a 10-panel drug screen.
- May be required to pass additional background or financial record checks, based on contractual requirements for specific engagements.
Compensation
This position offers a competitive compensation package, based on technical skills and prior work experience. The compensation package includes a competitive base salary (ranges from CA$100K-CA$130K), a company-sponsored health care plan (medical+vision+dental), a quarterly performance-based bonus plan, STD/LTD/Life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
