Job description We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Systems Analyst with 7+ years of experience in business process analysis, business systems documentation, and enterprise project implementation. The role will support the Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS) Transformation Project, spanning multiple systems and technologies. The ideal candidate must be highly analytical, proactive, and possess deep communication skills to work cross-functionally with multiple teams. Experience in at least three enterprise project implementations is required.
Key Responsibilities Business Process Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Lead and facilitate business process discovery sessions to document current and future-state processes.
Conduct functional business process analysis to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
Develop detailed business and functional requirements by collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams.
Create process flow diagrams, use cases, and business rules documentation to support system development.
Validate business requirements against project objectives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Integration & Data Analysis
Analyze existing data sources and integration points to ensure seamless connectivity between IPMS and other enterprise systems.
Work with integration teams to define data transformation and mapping strategies for system interoperability.
Provide detailed specifications for APIs, middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, ETL tools), and system interfaces.
Define and document data migration strategies, including data validation, deduplication, and cleansing processes.
Collaborate with developers to ensure integration testing is aligned with business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with business and functional team to ensure end to end business processes for integrations are validated for future state
Data Cleansing & Data Conversion
Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and mapping between source and target systems.
Work closely with stakeholders to identify data inconsistencies and develop remediation plans.
Support end-to-end data conversion processes, ensuring integrity and accuracy in data migration efforts.
Project Support & Implementation
Partner with the Project Manager to support all phases of project delivery, from initiation to closure.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including:
Business Requirements Document (BRD)
Functional Specifications and design
Gap analysis and solution documentation
Business process documentation – current state: future state
Data Mapping Documents
Integration Specifications
Test Cases & Validation Reports
Support Systems Integration Testing and UT (User Testing) and system validation, ensuring that solutions meet business needs.
Provide training, workshops, and office hours to support system adoption across stakeholder groups.
Ensure a smooth handoff to operations teams for post-implementation support.
