We are seeking a Sales Operations Director to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving sales strategy, execution, and operational efficiency. This role is a key member of the Business Unit (BU) leadership team and will focus on optimizing sales performance and ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives.  Location:  Remote United States

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth and exceed annual business targets.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on sales data analysis to enhance global sales execution.
  • KPI Development & Performance Monitoring: Create and manage KPI dashboards to track sales performance, pipeline management, and key leading indicators of future business success.
  • Territory Coverage Planning: Design and execute an optimized sales territory coverage plan to maximize market reach and sales effectiveness.
  • Quota Strategy & Structure: Collaborate closely with Finance to develop and refine quota-setting strategies that align with business goals and market dynamics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across Finance, Sales (including renewals), Services, IT, and Operations to drive alignment and operational excellence.
  • Leadership & Change Management: Inspire, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, enhance sales productivity, and achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven Leadership: 8+ years of experience in sales operations within the enterprise technology industry, with a strong background in software.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Process Optimization Expertise: Experience in sales planning, forecasting, territory management, and quota setting.
  • Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to engage with executives, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders effectively.
  • Results-Driven Mindset: Demonstrated success in driving sales productivity, operational improvements, and achieving business objectives.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

 

-Direct the efforts of teams to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of both the company and the Business Unit.

-Lead the BU forecasting process, partnering with sales leadership to ensure pipeline accuracy and applying sound judgment where needed.

-Monitor and drive high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency across sales planning and execution.

-Oversee operational reporting, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and ad hoc analysis.

-Act as a key contributor to the BU's go-to-market (GTM) strategy, operational excellence, and change management initiatives.

-Serve as the operational voice of the BU for global initiatives and lead company-wide projects where necessary.

-Provide strategic leadership in critical business decisions, enabling sales teams, partners, and customers.

-Lead go-to-market strategic projects that drive sales enablement and effectiveness.

-Champion initiatives that enhance the customer experience and improve operational efficiency.

-Oversee the integration of mergers and acquisitions related to sales operations.

-Build and maintain cross-functional relationships to address business and customer challenges effectively.

-Foster strong communication channels with leadership and teams to align on objectives and execution.

-Manage hiring, staffing, training, and workforce development to build a diverse and high-performing team.

-Drive career development, succession planning, performance management, and compensation discussions.

Qualifications:

 

-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

-10+ years relevant experience desired in the enterprise technology industry, in software

-8+ years of leadership and people management skills with a proven track record of developing key talent.
