Data Engineer (Customer Data)

As part of our Analytics Enablement team, this role will contribute to expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture for our global teams. The Data Engineer role is a data technical, delivery-centric role held by a person who is well-versed cloud data storage technologies; data acquisition, transformation and delivery patterns; and advanced visualization development.  The role’s primary focus is on designing and delivering solutions and processes that advance IDEX’s use of data assets to improve and optimize business outcomes 

This position is 100% remote with 10-20% travel.

Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will…

• Design and implement solutions to enable acquisition, curation, delivery, and use of data assets. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand on-going requirements and design scalable solutions that meet those business needs.
• Implement security measures and data governance policies to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
• Work with data scientists and analysts to integrate machine learning models into data delivery processes.
• Lead small to medium projects utilizing IDEX PMO methodology including the building of a business case and benefits, identifying resource requirements, contributing to project design, providing guidance to  internal and external resources and authoring full project charter documentation.
• Design, support and document data management processes and solutions.

Qualifications: 

• Demonstrated technical expertise in data management (ETL, data quality) technologies and data visualization methods and patterns. 
• Experience in designing and implementing solutions across multiple technologies and business applications. 
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing growth environment and to work independently. 
• Effective project manager able to handle multiple complex projects.

• Proven working knowledge of the life cycle of data and analytics concepts and service delivery.
• Proven leadership on small to medium projects with limited oversight.
• Expertise in the design and development of solutions that allow teams to build scalable, resilient environments and that enable teams to more easily manage and deliver insights.
• Certification(s) in data and analytics systems, including, but not limited to: MS SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Platform, Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience in Python or R and/or data modeling preferred.
