This is a remote position.
The user-experience (UX) designer plays a critical role in ensuring that our Client's digital platform delivers an intuitive & consistent user experience. Working closely with product leadership & the product management team for the platform, the UX Designer will create a cohesive, user-centric design that will enhance our platform experience to support business objectives. The UX Designer is responsible for mapping out consistent user flows, creating wireframes, building clickable prototypes, and refining the user experience through usability testing.
As a UX Designer, your responsibilities will include:
Working directly with the VP of Product & Platform and stakeholders to create a holistic design vision that supports the overarching strategy & roadmap
Collaborating with product managers to understand initiative/project goals and to deliver a UX/design framework that will support platform needs
Creating user-centric design solutions that enhance the platform's usability & accessibility compliance
Mapping user flows & producing consistent wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Conducting usability testing and incorporating feedback into design iterations
Ensuring consistency in the user experience across the platform for both current and future product lines
Education: Bachelor's degree
Specialization in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or a related field preferred
3+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio to showcase
2+ years of experience working with agile development teams
Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
Certification or formal training in digital accessibility (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
Ability to manage and own multiple projects concurrently
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in UX design
Familiarity with video-based platforms
Experience working in educational technology
Full-time remote position
Collaboration with teams across different time zones is required (this will entail some scheduling flexibility)
A reliable internet connection is required
