Tenant-Landlord Law Experience: Minimum of 2.5–5 years as a paralegal, with strong knowledge of eviction laws, tenant rights, and small claims court procedures. Legal Research & Documentation Skills: Ability to interpret jurisdictional variations in eviction law and draft high-quality legal documents accordingly. Attention to Detail & Organization: Strong ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Client-Facing Communication Skills: Capable of explaining complex legal concepts in simple, clear instructions without providing legal advice. Tech-Savvy & Process-Oriented: Familiarity with legal databases, CRM systems, and workflow automation tools to enhance case tracking and document management. High-Level Problem Solving: Ability to analyze case details efficiently and determine the best approach based on each client’s unique situation.

Core responsibilities:

Legal Document Preparation: Draft and process eviction-related legal documents, including motions, affidavits, and tenant defenses, based on the client’s intake information and relevant county laws. Case Evaluation & Strategy: Analyze client intake forms to determine the best legal approach, considering hardship claims, lease violations, and tenant rights in the applicable jurisdiction, with an expectation to process 7-10 cases per day, depending on complexity. Jurisdictional Research: Use legal databases to interpret state and county-specific landlord-tenant laws, ensuring documentation aligns with small claims court requirements. Client Communication & Support: Provide clear, structured instructions to clients on how to file and present their case in court, ensuring they understand the purpose of each document provided. Process Automation & Template Management: Help streamline legal document preparation by optimizing standardized templates for different eviction scenarios, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all drafted documents adhere to legal standards and best practices while maintaining meticulous case records for client follow-ups.
