Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity at DTN in our Product Team. We are seeking a Product Manager with an exceptional track record of success and driving results to help drive forward data science for our agricultural sector. The role will develop and execute a comprehensive data product strategy, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that our data science capabilities translate into innovative solutions that drive the growth of our agricultural business and enhance customer experiences.
What you will be responsible for:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Lead the development of the data product roadmap and release schedule to manage the development and continual production of data products.
Gather and prioritize data product requirements and manage data science product backlog with a pragmatic, consistent, and structured data-driven approach.
Gather and analyze product feedback, industry trends, and competitive insights to help shape product decisions and identify new opportunities.
Product Execution
Work closely with engineering, design, and commercial teams to define product requirements, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Work with agricultural product managers to Identify common needs across products to ensure we build foundational data requirements that scale.
Proactively flag risks and create mitigation plans where possible.
Collaborate with product and engineering on data governance initiatives to ensure data is accurate, available, usable, and meets quality standards for agriculture product teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with stakeholders, including agriculture product managers, engineering, and commercial teams, to proactively understand data needs across products.
Communicate product updates, insights, and recommendations to internal teams and leadership.
Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth product launches and adoption.
Metrics & Performance
Monitor key product performance metrics, gather data-driven insights, and contribute to continuous product improvements.
What we’re looking for:
Background in Data Science or Analytics: Hands-on experience with data modeling, machine learning, or statistical analysis, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable product features and user-friendly solutions.
Experience in Data Product Management: Experience in Data Product Management. Proven track record of managing data-driven products, including data pipelines, APIs, and analytical tools, with a strong understanding of data lifecycle management and governance.
Customer Focus: Strong interest in understanding customer needs and translating them into product enhancements. Ability to collect and interpret customer feedback effectively.
Technical Acumen: Experience with working together with data science and engineering teams, understanding technical concepts, and contributing to solution development. Ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working across different teams to achieve product goals.
Execution & Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives and balance long-term strategic goals with immediate needs.
Background and Skill Sets:
Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
Exposure to product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard)
Domain expertise in agriculture, with knowledge of grain sourcing, agronomic practices, or agricultural supply chains.
Abilityy to make key decision-making on data needs, predictive modeling, and industry-specific challenges.
Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000 USD. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
