Client Relations Manager - Accounting Services - Full-time

Job purpose  



The focus of this role is to achieve measurable outcomes for the company through tactical actions. The Client Relations Manager- Accounting Services will lead the team in executing strategies, empowering employees, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include effective performance management—setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development. The Manager will leverage financial knowledge to guide the team in understanding client accounts, make informed decisions, and foster long-term relationships. Additionally, the Manager will focus on proactive client engagement, manage metrics to keep attrition low, and drive team success and growth.
 

Duties and responsibilities

Team Leadership
  • Develop and lead the Accounting Services team, embodying company values and principles. 
  • Train team members, ensure they meet expectations and goals, and invest in their personal and professional growth. 
  • Strategically enhance client engagement and lead impactful meetings.
  • Collaborate on company initiatives.
  • Provide insights on resources, technologies, and best practices. 
  • Assist with hiring and training new team members.
  • Partner with the Director on projects and department initiatives. 
  • Use results-based leadership to provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development through 1:1 meetings and the HR platform (Paycor). 
 
Operational/Leadership Responsibilities
  • Meet company-­driven attrition goals, focusing on client satisfaction, engagement growth, and retention.
  • Review ongoing client satisfaction surveys and provide team coaching and feedback to ensure successful client/contractor engagements.
  • Provide insight into and recommend necessary changes in the processes, systems, and service line as the business grows and needs change.
 

Qualifications

Relational, humble, and intuitive people with virtual experience and client service understanding, will thrive in this role. Candidates should have a clear understanding of the general ledger, accounts receivable/accounts payable functions, and financial reporting. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate responsiveness, and professionalism, own the details, be organizationally and technologically savvy, and conduct relational and efficiency coaching at all times. 

 
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • Experience as a BELAY Client Success Consultant is preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years of financial experience. 
  • Must be a driven self-starter, a positive thinker, loyal and trustworthy.
  • Attributes of flexibility, creativity, self-discipline, strong organizational skills, and action orientation are essential for this role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player who is willing and able to “roll up the shirt sleeves” to get a project done when needed.
  • A high degree of autonomy with the capability of working remotely. 
 

Working conditions

 

BELAY Corporate, as a virtual company, offers you the ability to work from home full-time. As such, a dedicated and secure workspace, free of distractions is required. Our standard business hours are Monday-Friday. Some roles will require travel.
